Grade 8 Farewell


Grade 8 Farewell 2017 is on Thursday, June 22


Please see attached permission and food order form for the Farewell Celebration activity at the Broken Rack

Farewell events on June 22nd  – Timeline:

    • Photographer – Cyndie Knorr: 3:30 – 5:55 pm on site (mini-gym).  This is optional.  Photography packages will be sent home soon.  Please carefully read the order form.  Appointments are set up directly with the photographer and payment also goes directly to the photographer NOT the school 
    • Refreshments: 5:00 – 5:55 pm, in Shared Learning Area (Grade 7 families provide refreshments)
    • Awards ceremony: 6:00 – 8:30 pm, in main gym
    • Celebration activity: 8:45 – 10:45 pm – The Broken Rack has been booked and students are bussed to the venue. Parents pick up students from the Broken Rack at the end of the evening.
    • There is a $25 fee for all activities including the Beach Day on Friday, June 23rd.  This fee is to be paid using your on-line payment account

Note:  Each Gr. 8 student is allowed to bring 4 guests.  The student is not calculated in this number.  If you require more seating please contact me at

Thank you to all of the parents who came to the organizational meeting on April 4th.  The 3 committees we need volunteers for are: Decorations, Venue & Activities and Chaperones.  We are still looking for a chairperson and volunteers for the Decorations Committee.  If a volunteer for the position of chair for the  Decorations Committe is not found, Grade 8 teachers and Administration will oversee the committee.  It's always better when we can have volunteers take this job on as teachers and administrators are busy getting the program together for that evening.  So...if you think you can help us out please contact me at 306-791-8445 or email me at . Important dates to remember:

-Grade 8 Farewell pictures Thursday, March 30th in the AM in the mini-gym.

-Parent Organizational meeting Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 6:30 pm in the Library.  We will need volunteers for the following 4 committess: Decorations, Venue (food), Chaperones and Reception.  The work required by each committee will be explained at the organizational meeting and then we hope you will sign up for the one that interests you.


Criteria regarding Honour Roll:

-Honours with Distinction - Straight A's with an allowance of 1 B for the entire year

-Honour Roll - Straight A's with an allowance of 3 B's for the entire year
