Please read the two attachments with information about our HSCC special lunch days.  Youngest and only students have received the information in paper form as well.

W.S Hawrylak HSCC is excited to host fun lunches on the following dates:

Thursday Dec 1, 2016 – DQ

Friday March 10, 2017 – Domino’s Pizza and Booster Juice

Thursday June 8, 2017 – Quiznos and TCBY

The use of the website was a great success last year. As a result, the W.S Hawrylak HSCC will continue to use this website for ordering and processing of all fun lunches. Cash payments will not be accepted for any fun lunch orders.

Please go to where you will be able to create an account, view all upcoming special lunches, place an order for all dates or just one at a time, and pay online. For families that already have an account, once you log in you will need to once again add your child(ren) and choose the correct classroom teacher prior to placing an order. Orders can be placed online until 5 days prior to the dates listed above as this is the cut-off that the website uses to close orders.

Student/Parent/Teacher 3-Way Conferences Friday November 18th

On Friday Oct. 28th,  conference notice forms will be sent home with your child/children providing you with a conference time for Friday November 18th.  We have made every effort as a school to ensure families with multiple children confrence times coincide with each other.  If your confrence time does not work for your family, please contact your child's teacher to schedule an alternate time.  Please be mindful however, that with classrooms being as full as they are there is very little room for changes on the scheduled day.

Information regarding student assessment/3-way conferences will be posted shortly on the School Division Info. link on the left hand side of our webpage.  I encourage you to read these documents in preparation for these conferences to ensure a focused and productive meeting regarding your child/children occurs.  Classroom teachers will facilitate these conferences, but it is important that you as parents come prepared as well. Personal Social Growth Rubrics will be sent home with your child on Monday November 14th.  Please bring these for discussion to the confernece on November 18th.

We look forward to clebrating the growth of our students both socially and academically as well as discussing the academic year ahead.

Student Costumes on Halloween Monday Oct. 31

As a staff we have agreed to have a little fun this Halloween and allow students to dress up on Monday Oct. 31 in their costumes. In doing so we ask all families to support our expectations to make this a fun yet safe event.  When sending your child/children with a costume, please consider the following:

1. The costume must be respectful and preserve the dignity of the child in a public school setting.

2. Any masks must be able to be removed in order that they don’t interfere with learning or impede safety.

3. Please do not send accessories (swords, wands, etc.) as they can get lost, break or hurt others.

We are excited to see our students and staff dressed up and teachers will have planned fun throughout the day.  However, it is a regular day of school with sturctured activities and our school expectations will continue to be upheld.  We thankyou for your support.

There is only a couple days until the annual HSCC Halloween Howl happending on Friday Oct. 28.  Doors will open up at 6:00 and the fun begins at 6:30.  Music is provided by Danceland DJ's and there will also be a fun and interactive show for our junior grades.  We encourage your family to have fun and wear costumes!  If you are able to help volunteer for this excitiing community event, please sign-up on the Sign-UP Genius link below.
