Last Day of School for 2016/17

Our last day of school for the 2016/17 school year is Thursday June 29.  Early dismissal for all students is at 2:30pm.  On behalf of the staff at Ecole W.S. Hawrylak School, we want to wish everyone a safe and relaxing holiday.  See you back on Tuesday Sept. 5!

School Division Budget Information


On Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at the public meeting of the Regina Board of Education, the Director of Education, Greg Enion shared information relating to the 2017-18 Provincial Budget. The points he made are available on the news page of the Regina Public Schools website. W.S. Hawrylak Kindergarten Registration is open for the Sept. 2017/18 School Year. If you have a child whose birthday is before Jan. 1 2013 you are welcome to come into the school and pick up a kindergarten registration package for the upcoming school year or open the attached registration form and mail it in to the school. If you know of any families in the neighborhood who may have a child age appropriate for kindergarten, please feel free to pass this information along to them as well.

On Wednesday May 10th at 6:00pm we will be having a kindergarten orientation evening for families to become familiar with the school and kindergarten programming. Please read the attached memo for more information.  

WS Hawrylak School Device Policy

Ecole W.S. Hawrylak School recognizes the fact that many students carry electronic devices on them at all times and for a variety of reasons. Our school supports a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) environment that contributes to enhancing student learning opportunities.  This year our technology committee with input from staff, students and parents has put together a policy to help guide technology use within the school to ensure that it respects the learning and safety of all students and staff.  Please read the attached policy as it will be communicated to students and posted in classrooms in the new year. 

Information for Ecole Wascana Plains School

If your family has indicated that you are planning a move to École Wascana Plains School for the 2017-18 school year, registration documents are required for each child attending.  Please follow the link provided to locate the appropriate forms:


Completed registration forms can be dropped off at your local school; mailed to the Regina Public Schools Division Office, 1600 - 4th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4R 8C8; or emailed to  An email confirmation will be sent within 5 business days of reception.  Our goal is to ensure our school is staffed appropriately for your children.  More information will come out regarding transportation in the coming months.  Please read the attached Wascana Plains News!

Transportation Cancelled ONLY for Kindergartens on June 16

Just a reminder that our regular kindergarten bussing is cancelled on June 16th as our new kindergartens for next year have an orientation event.  All other bussing remains the same that day.

K - Grade 4 Play Day Friday June 2nd

Our annual K-4 Play Day is on Friday, June 2nd and we are hoping to gather a few supplies.  If you are able to donate materials, please follow the link to the sign up.

All materials need to be in by Wednesday, May 31st.  They can be dropped off in Mrs. Lekivetz’s room (106) or Ms. Perkins’ room (208)

HSCC Special Lunch - Thursday June 8

The HSCC will be hosting a special lunch serving Quiznos and TCBY on Thursday June 8. 



Please go to where you will be able to create an account and place an order for and pay online. For families that already have an account, once you log in you will need to once again add your child(ren) and choose the correct classroom teacher prior to placing an order. Orders can be placed online until 5 days prior to the date listed above as this is the cut-off that the website uses to close orders.
